Dr Matteo Belvedere research addresses the study of fossil tracks of vertebrates. His work is grouned in dinosaur tracks, but he's interested also in all other vertebrate traces, form fish to Homo. Dr Matteo Belvedere spent lot of time, during his PhD, in the High Atlas of Morroco, mapping and studying Upper Jurassic dinosaur tracks. Currently he is working on the footprints of dinosaurs that walked in the Dolomites during the Trisssic, and he is attempting to develop new, more objective, ways of looking at vertebrate traces using laser scans, photogrammetry, and the resulting 3D models.
