CV Francesco Marra

Dr. Marra is Researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, National Research Council of Italy. He graduated in Physics at the University of Bologna, got his PhD in Radar Hydrology from the University of Padova and was Postdoc and Research Associate at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. His scientific interests span several fields, including atmospheric sciences, hydrology, geomorphology, stochastics, and climate change, with a specific focus on extreme rainfall and the related hazards. He is Associate Editor for Journal of Hydrology and Guest Editor for Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences. He authored 50 scientific papers since 2014, and is the youngest Italian researcher of his field currently listed in the top 2% influential scientists of the year on the basis of non-self citations.
